Salcon was awarded the ‘Best Sustainability Reporting Award’ by Focus Malaysia Best Under Billion Awards (BUBA) 2017 on 13th October 2017.
The company was recognised for its initiative to provide stakeholders a holistic and comprehensive report on corporate governance, environment, workplace and the marketplace.
KPMG Management & Risk Consulting worked with Focus Malaysia to filter the winners, and the final decision was validated in consultation with the firm.
The event was graced by Datuk Tajuddin Atan, CEO of Bursa Malaysia to acknowledge the achievements in Malaysia listed companies’ business and sustainability performance.
Salcon Berhad has won Asia’s Best CSR Communication within Annual Report Award at the 2017 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) by CSRWork International Pte Ltd for the second consecutive year.
The winning of the award reflects Salcon’s effective communication through our CSR initiatives to create more values for business and stakeholders through our CSR initiatives.
Salcon is also the finalist for the category of Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (SME). The awards presentation ceremony was hosted by the British High Commissioner in Singapore H.E. Mr. Scott Wightman on 6th Feb 2018.
Salcon Berhad was one of the award recipients of the CSR Malaysia Awards 2017 for pioneering Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in the past year.
The company was recognised for making strides in promoting the importance of good quality water supplies in sustaining a community and its development under its flagship CSR programme, Salcon Smart Water Programme.
The award was presented by YB Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
Salcon has won Asia’s Best CSR Communication within Annual Report award at the 2016 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards on 28 November in Singapore. The award was presented by H.E. Mr. Håkan Jevrell, Swedish Ambassador in Singapore at the British High Commission Singapore.
Salcon’s win at ASRA 2016 reflects the company’s leadership in sustainability reporting and a commitment to long term value creation for all stakeholders. Effective communication of Salcon’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and efforts is important to facilitate, support and drive corporate and societal value as well as to improve awareness of the risks and opportunities connected to sustainability.
Salcon Engineering Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Salcon Berhad, was awarded the ‘Pencapaian Cemerlang KPI YBM Tenaga, Teknologi Hijau & Air 2016’ by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Pembetungan (JPP) and Yayasan Hijau Malaysia (Yahijau).
The company was recognised for meeting excellent standards in project management of the Package D55 project which entails the carrying out of upgrading works of the sewerage services involving the laying of up to 21 kilometers of new sewer and the decommissioning of 72 sewage treatment plants including 44 communal septic tanks in Klang. The project was commenced in 2013 and completed early this year within schedule.
The award presentation was held at the Majlis Apresiasi & Pengiktirafan JPP & YaHijau on 15 August 2017.
Besides that, Mr. Kang Tay Ou, the Project Manager of Package D55 also clinched the Best Project Manager Award in the award presentation.
