Design and Building of Ambatale Stormwater Pumping Station
Design and construct a 20m3/s pumping station to pump out water during high water levels in Kelani River and high rainfall in the areas upstream of Madiwela East Diversion Canal under the Metro Colombo Urban Development Project. The pumping station is expected to enhance the conveyance capacity to reduce the flood risk to the Colombo catchment, especially to Parliament Lake and surrounding area while minimizing the environmental impact from the proposed improvements while maintaining a sustainable environment.

In 2023, Salcon accepted a Letter of Award (LoA) from AIS Small Hydro Sdn Bhd (“AIS Small Hydro”) for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (“EPCC”) of a 10.44MW Small Hydro Powerplant at Sungai Selangor Dam. AIS Small Hydro is a Special Purpose Vehicle (“SPV”) company formed by Air Selangor Holdings Berhad (“AIS Holdings”) and Worldwide Holdings Berhad (“WHB”). The scope of the project comprises the design, manufacture, factory testing, delivery to the site, erection, testing & commissioning, maintenance and training of AIS Small Hydro personnel.
