Salcon Secures RM80.399 million Water Infrastructure Project in Pulau Pinang

SUBANG JAYA, 1 APRIL 2026 – Salcon Berhad (“Salcon” or “the Group”) has secured a new water infrastructure contract worth RM80.399 million through its wholly owned subsidiary, Salcon Engineering Berhad, following the acceptance of a Letter of Acceptance issued by Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn. Bhd.

The project involves the design, supply, installation, and testing of a main treated water pipeline from the proposed site of new 114MLD Sungai Kerian Water Treatment Plant to the proposed site of Batu Kawan Reservoir, with the provision for future connection to Jawi Reservoir in Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang.

Encik Jamiluddin Amini Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of Salcon Engineering Berhad, said this contract reflects client’s continued confidence in Salcon’s technical expertise and track record in delivering critical water infrastructure projects. “This award reinforces our commitment to supporting sustainable water supply development through reliable and efficient engineering solutions with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence. We look forward to delivering this and contributing to the long-term resilience of water infrastructure in Pulau Pinang,” he said.

The project is scheduled to be carried out within a period of 36 month with site possession commencing on 6 April 2026 and scheduled completion by 5 April 2029. It is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings and net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2026 onwards.
