SUBANG JAYA, 11 August 2023 – Salcon Berhad (“Salcon” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that its consortium with KAB Smart Solar Energy Sdn Bhd has received a Letter of Notification from the Energy Commission of Malaysia (“EC”). The Letter of Notification informs that the Consortium has met the criteria outlined in the Information Guide for Corporate Green Power Programme (“CGPP”) in developing a Solar Photovoltaic Plant with an export capacity of 7MW at Sungai Siput, Kuala Kangsar Perak (“Project”).
Subject to the fulfilment of the requirements of the Information Guide for CGPP and participation in the New Enhanced Dispatch Arrangement (NEDA) programme, the Project is expected to commence operations in 2024.

This Project is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending December 2024 onwards.
