Water Division
With a corporate history spanning more than three decades, Salcon’s has numerous achievements. Among them are:
In 2005 Salcon successfully completed the Lancang Treatment Works and Bulk Transfer Project in Malaka, which was to construct a 55 Mld upgradeable to 110 Mld water treatment plant.
Salcon also successfully completed the Kuala Jelai Water Treatment Plant which has a capacity of 45 Mld and the Sungai Terip Water Treatment Plants with a 136 Mld capacity both located in Negeri Sembilan in 2002.
Salcon continuously embarks on mission to realise its full potential. Its efforts finally culminated in the award of the first privatisation project in Vietnam for the supply of treated water to Ho Chi Minh City. It is undertaken by a Malaysian consortium of which Salcon is a lead partner. The concession is for 20 years effective from 1999
Salcon was the lead partner in a consortium involved in the privatization of Greater Ipoh Water Supply II, a major BOT water development programme (RM308 million) involving sourcing, treatment and supply of water to Lembaga Air Perak for distribution to the concession areas until year 2024. The concession was subsequently divested to other third parties
In 1998, Salcon completed a 120 Mld treatment plant in Bertam, Melaka, using the first flo-filter system of its kind in Malaysia adapted using Swedish technology.
In 1994, Salcon successfully completed a contract in China for mechanical and electrical works in respect of a water supply scheme in Chongqing.
Wastewater Division
Salcon’s range of expertise encompasses not only the design and construction of potable water treatment plants but also treatment plants for waste water via its subsidiary Envitech Sdn. Bhd., the group offers various technologies such as IDEA and Vacuum system.

Envitech strives to offer comprehensive solutions to our clients to ensure the most cost effective and efficient solution and has successfully completed sewage plants of various capacities and sizes in Malaysia. More than 30 new sewage treatment plants were constructed with the IDEA system, with the capability to cater up to 280,000 population.

In 1995, Salcon had the privilege of completed one of the largest sludge dewatering plant in Malaysia (Johor River Waterworks) for Public Utilities Board of Singapore.

As for the sewage collection system, Envitech design and construct the first vacuum system in Pulau Indah Industrial Park, Selangor, Malaysia. The system features a shallow sewer network as an attractive and economical alternative solution in adverse ground condition with high water table and space constraints.
